It was a hot afternoon in Northeast Brazil when Daphne felt a wave of uncertainty wash over her. She was new to the role and had seven client visits lined up, each more daunting than the last. Doubts crept in. Was she ready for this? A quick phone call to her manager changed everything.
“She reminded me that the company and my team believed in me, so I had to believe in myself,” Daphne recalls. “That encouragement carried me through the day.”
Now, as a Sales Representative at Maersk Training, Daphne is fully embracing the challenges and rewards of working in the renewable energy sector. What inspired her to join? The founding story of Maersk Training and its values of the whole Maersk organisation.
“Every time I think about how this company began, I feel proud to be part of it,” she says. “Our values guide everything we do, and they resonate with me deeply.”

A Focus on Renewables: Sales with a Purpose
Daphne’s role at Maersk Training is laser-focused on driving the growth of renewable energy clients, particularly those seeking GWO-approved training. As an industry that is set to expand rapidly, Daphne is determined to see her department thrive alongside it.
“Right now, our department is small compared to the local demand, but with the growth of the industry and our commitment, I’m confident we’ll grow day by day,” she says with optimism.
Her workday is a whirlwind of client meetings, strategic planning sessions, and wherever possible, on-site visits. For Daphne, success isn’t just about hitting sales targets—it’s about delivering solutions that help clients meet their training goals.
“What motivates me most is the satisfaction of closing new deals and seeing our clients happy,” she shares. “It’s incredibly rewarding.”

Taking the Lead: A Proud Milestone
One of Daphne’s most exciting projects to date? Organizing Maersk Training’s participation in Brazil Windpower 2024, the premier wind energy event.
“I’m in charge of the entire event, which will take place in October. It’s been months of preparation, and I feel honored to have been entrusted with this responsibility,” Daphne says with pride.
The event represents more than just logistics and planning—it’s a testament to Maersk Training’s growing presence in the renewable energy space, and Daphne is thrilled to be part of that growth.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing everything come together,” she adds. “This project has been a true team effort, and I can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make.”

“I see so much potential in the wind energy industry,” she says enthusiastically. “In a few years, I believe it will be three times bigger than it is today.”
