Purpose of Stability 1 (theory)
The Stability Theory (Stability 1) Course is tailored for offshore personnel with no prior formal stability training, providing the essential skills and knowledge required to meet international regulations for ballast control operations. This course complies with the IMO requirement A1079(28) for the selection and training of Ballast Control Operators and is recognised by the UK, Canada, US Coast Guard (USCG), and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It is ideal for Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU) personnel involved in stability calculations, including those working on self-elevating platforms (Jack-Ups).
