Objectives
Upon successful completion of this 2-day workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the rationale behind the SIRE 2.0 regime and its objectives.
- Clearly identify and explain the differences between VIQ7 and SIRE 2.0.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the structure and classification of SIRE 2.0 inspection questions.
- Implement necessary pre-inspection office procedures to prepare for a SIRE 2.0 inspection.
- Confidently use and understand new terminology and tools such as PIQ, CVIQ, Certification and Photo Depository, and ROVIQ.
- Recognize and apply the impact of Performance Influencing Factors (PIFs) during inspections.
- Understand the use of the inspection tablet for real-time data management.
- Understand how to categorize and respond to observations during inspections.
- Analyze inspection reports and determine appropriate follow-up actions.
- Assist in the development of effective training strategies for shipboard personnel under SIRE 2.0.
- Address the psychological aspects of the SIRE 2.0 regime and foster a positive change in mindset.
- Engage confidently with SIRE 2.0 inspectors and meet the demands of the new inspection process.
