Purpose of OPITO MIST Further – Online Training
The OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Further course is designed to provide experienced offshore workers with the essential knowledge to renew their MIST certification every four years. This course ensures participants maintain an awareness of major accident hazards, workplace hazards, risk management, control of work, and helicopter safety. It aligns with the OPITO MIST Further standard, meeting the safety requirements for offshore personnel in the UK oil and gas industry. Key skills gained include:

Essential Information

Prerequisites:
Participants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A valid OPITO MIST Initial or Further training certificate and photo identification or
- A valid Vantage POB number and prior offshore experience (UKCS or Internationally)*
*Learners must also complete a declaration confirming prior offshore work experience, including their last offshore trip details.

Certification:
Participants receive a 4-year OPITO MIST Further Training certificate upon successful completion. Certificates can be renewed up to three months in advance of the expiry date.
