Purpose of OPITO FOET with CA-EBS
The OPITO Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) course serves as a refresher for the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), reinforcing and advancing the emergency response skills of offshore professionals. This training ensures individuals remain confident, capable, and ready for high-risk situations by refreshing essential skills in areas like fire response, helicopter evacuation, and sea survival.

Assessment Type
To achieve the Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS) Training the learner will need to complete the 3 mandatory units.

Helicopter Safety and Escape
Covers essential safety procedures and techniques for helicopter transit, including how to safely exit in an emergency, specifically focusing on the use of an Emergency Breathing System (EBS) to enhance survival chances during an underwater escape.
Emergency Breathing System (EBS) Use
Provides hands-on training with the EBS equipment, teaching participants how to use the system correctly and confidently in case of an emergency evacuation from a helicopter.
Firefighting and Self-Rescue:
Focuses on the fundamentals of fire safety in offshore environments, including the proper use of firefighting equipment and self-rescue techniques to ensure personal safety when responding to onboard fires.
Basic First Aid and Casualty Management
Reinforces essential first aid skills, such as CPR and wound care, to equip participants to provide immediate assistance to casualties in the event of an offshore emergency.
