Essential Information

Prerequisites:
- There are no formal prerequisites for this introductory course. However, delegates should provide evidence of a medical and eye test to confirm depth perception and ensure they are not colour blind.

Who is it for?
- Ideal for new crane operators, deck crew members, and individuals seeking foundational knowledge in offshore crane operations.

Assessment:
- Practical and theory-based assessments are conducted to confirm understanding of crane controls, safety protocols, and load handling.

Certification:
- Upon successful completion, delegates receive a Stage 1 Offshore Crane Operator certificate. This certification has no expiry but does not qualify delegates to operate cranes unsupervised. To progress to Stage 2, Stage 1 training must be completed within 12 months prior.

Hands-on practice in a simulator focusing on load handling, height and distance judgment, and safe crane control.
Emergency Response and Crane Shutdown Procedures
Prepares delegates to respond to emergencies with safe shutdown procedures and evacuation protocols.
