Purpose of LOLER Competent Person Training
The LOLER Competent Person Training course is designed for individuals responsible for planning, supervising, and assessing lifting operations, ensuring adherence to LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) standards. This course provides the necessary knowledge of regulations and standards, enhancing participants' competence in inspecting, planning, and safely executing lifting operations within a Safe System of Work. Essential Information

Prerequisites:
Participants should have relevant experience in crane, hoisting, and lifting operations and prior supervisory experience.

LOLER Regulations and Compliance:

Study of related regulations, including HASAWA 1974, PUWER 1998, and MHSWR 1995, as they pertain to lifting operations.
Lifting Equipment and Rigging Loft Management:
Training in the management of lifting appliances, certification, and control of equipment and accessories.
Risk Assessment and Planning for Lifting Operations:
Hands-on training in creating risk assessments and preparing Safe Systems of Work for planned lifts.
Supervision and Competency Assessment of Lifting Teams:
Techniques for assessing and mentoring lifting teams, ensuring team readiness and compliance with safety standards.
Practical Lifting Operation Exercises:
Conducting supervised lifting operations with real-time assessment of planning, equipment control, and teamwork.
