This course is delivered as a fully-virtual, instructor-led training using Microsoft Teams. Practical assessment for these courses are delivered virtually, via a cloud-based Well Control Simulation program (where required).

  • New or entry-level drilling personnel, including assistant drillers, derrickmen, floormen, and others involved in well control operations.
  • Individuals seeking to build foundational knowledge in well control and obtain Level 2 certification.

Assessment

Practical assessments, including simulator-based exercises and a theoretical knowledge test.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the IWCF Well Control Level 2 certificate. Successful completion of the course and a pass mark of 70% or above in all IWCF written assessments will result in IWCF Level 2 certification which is valid for five years.
