Purpose of IWCF Drilling Well Control Level 2 (Oilfield Units) e-learning

Essential Information

Prerequisites:

Suitable for personnel with a basic understanding of drilling operations; no prior well control certification is required.

Who is it for?

Designed for junior-level drilling personnel or anyone beginning a career in well control operations.

Assessment:

• Successfully complete the online training modules • Pass a level 2 IWCF assessment (via an invigilated virtual assessment) with a score of 70% or more within 6 months of completing the online training modules

Certification:

Successful participants will receive an IWCF Level 2 Well Control certificate, valid for five years.

Once you have completed the e-learning modules, you will be able to download your completion certificate. You must complete the e-learning and use this certificate of completion to book and arrange your invigilated assessment, which will be conducted virtually by Maersk Training. Your e-learning course joining instructions will provide all the required information and contact details to book the virtual assessment. If necessary, the written assessment can be completed onsite in one of our IWCF accredited centres around the world, but please note that this will involve an additional charge.

Familiarisation with equipment such as blowout preventers (BOPs), their controls, and safety protocols.

Regaining Control and Preventive Practices:

Techniques to manage and regain well control during drilling operations.
