Purpose
Mental health issues are extremely common. This e-learning course is designed to raise awareness of Mental Health problems; why they occur - and what to do about it. Note: This e-Learning course is delivered by Maersk Training in collaboration with VIRSEC.
Learning Objectives
- LO1 Describe what mental health is, why people develop mental health conditions and the role of a First Aider.
- LO2 dentify problems and risk factors early.
- LO3 Explain how to provide advice and practical support for a person presenting a mental health condition.
- LO4 Recognise and manage stress.
- LO5 Recognise a range of mental health conditions.
- LO6 Recognise the impact of substance abuse on mental health.
- LO7 Describe the 'first aid action plan for mental health' and be able to put it in place.
- LO8 Explain how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.
