ME Electronic Engine Standard Operation Course
The purpose of the course is to provide the participants with adequate knowledge for operating MAN electronic engines safely and efficiently. The course aims to provide sufficient competency for engineers to deal with systematic trouble shooting and problem solving with electronically controlled engines.
Prerequisites
All Engineering officers on merchant vessels with a valid COC
Assessment
After completing the training, the participants will have to complete a theoretical test. Participants will also be evaluated during the course of simulator exercises.
Trainees who successfully complete the course will be able to demonstrate their competence in implementing correct operating procedures of the control system of a MAN ME-C type electronic engine.
