General description

It is common practice for organisations to promote experienced specialists and technicians to managerial positions. Transition from a specialist to a generalist gives the advantage of motivating employees and maintaining the essential knowledge within the organisation. Such a transition process is not always a guaranteed success. It happens that newly promoted managers often lose their motivation and positive spirit a few months after promotion, mostly due to lack of the additional tools and knowledge needed to lead people.

In People Skills we help and have helped many organisations in the leadership transition processes, starting with planning of the professional and personal development, where our psychologists are involved to help candidates to evaluate improvement areas; through the portfolio of different courses that candidates can choose from to train specific leadership skills; and ending with the assessment programme evaluating readiness for promotion.
