The planning approval for a new simulation complex. which can run in tandem with the groundbreaking MOSAIC training centre, means that at Svendborg we will be able to create a drilling learning environment second to none.

Responding to the needs of the industry has seen the implementation of the Deepwater Well Control course, the latest addition to an already impressive portfolio. The main workhorse of the department’s practical tuition has been a DrillSim 5000 with additional backup out-of-house from a DrillSim 20. The new development will centre around a DrillSim 6000 and with the complex linked to the present MOSAIC the system will simulate various well control scenarios and for the first time will be able to tell the whole story and not just chapters.
