Description
Personal survival swimming training as a phenomenon endows the participant with some skills which allows them the ability to float in water. It is a 10-day intensive training, aimed at equipping entrants in to marine / marine related businesses with essential knowledge of basic water survival ethic. It spurs them to face unimaginable aquatic challenges (man- overboard drowning, etc), while on their duties or accident under or above water.
Purpose
The purpose of this course is to develop in the trainee the basic skill of swimming. Confidences to overcome water challenges are also developed.
Content
- Basic element of swimming
- Introduction to natural floating device
- Aquatic breathing techniques
- Introduction to basic swimming style
Objectives
- To overcome water phobia
- Master the act of swimming
- Muster confidence in dealing with some inevitable water challenges
