Basic Offshore Safety Induction Emergency Training (BOSIET) - Port Harcourt


Description

This 3 Day offshore course is designed to assist in meeting the initial onshore safety training, emergency response training and assessment requirements for personnel new to the offshore oil and gas industry.

Purpose

The BOSIET course enables delegates to gain a basic knowledge of specific safety issues relevant to offshore installations and an understanding of emergency response on an offshore installation and during helicopter transit.

• Helicopter safety and underwater escape (HUET)
• Basic First Aid
• Sea Survival
• Basic Fire Fighting

Objective

• Undertake helicopter evacuation and under water escape training

• Acquire basic fire fighting skills

• Administer first aid

• Understand how to use a survival craft

• To gain a basic level of understanding and an awareness of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations 

 

• To equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency while offshore

• To enhance their survivability in the event of an emergency through proper use of emergency equipment and procedures
