Basic Fire Fighting (BFF) - Port Harcourt


Purpose

This course is designed to provide participants with necessary fire fighting knowledge and skills in order detect and fight fire hazards when working in an enclosed or open area.

Content

• Fire prevention and general behaviour in case of fire

• The use of different fire extinguishers, their function pros and cons

• Working with minor fire scenarios

• Practical use of fire extinguishers and fire blanket

 

Objectives

To give offshore personnel a basic knowledge and awareness of the following:

• Combustion and the hazards of fire

• How to identify and use portable fire appliances

• How to use lifesaving equipment, survival techniques and procedures to follow in an emergency

The course will be conducted in English.

The course is conducted at either Maersk Training Opeans Port Harcourt or at the customer's venue.
