Purpose

The objective of this course is to help delegates develop self confidence in the workplace.
The main objective of the AYS associated Assertiveness and Self Confidence course is to help delegates develop self confidence in the workplace. Delegates will also gain knowledge and awareness of what assertiveness is and how to develop assertive and self-confidence skills.


Content

The syllabus consists of 10 modules.
  • Module 1 - What is assertiveness?
  • Module 2 - Four styles of communication
  • Module 3 - Rights and responsibilities
  • Module 4 - Rational and Positive thinking
  • Module 5 - Being straightforward
  • Module 6 - Manage a person's actions by changing the status quo
  • Module 7 - Articulate disagreement constructively
  • Module 8 - Building relationships
  • Module 9 - Maintain self-respect and looking at our emotional needs
  • Module 10 - Personal action plan

Objectives

The main objectives of the course are:

  • To gain a clear understanding of the rights and associated responsibilities
  • To develop logical and constructive thinking

 

  • To see and develop a clear-cut approach
  • To develop skills to change another's actions
  • To develop constructive disagreement / argument skills
  • To develop relationships with work colleagues whilst understanding different personality types
  • To maintain self-respect and understand emotional needs of self and others

This course requires a minimum of 4 delegates, and a maximum of 10 delegates.
