High Risk Spaces - Aberdeen
Purpose
The intensive High Risk Spaces course is designed with the purpose of educating delegates on how to deal with the situation of entering a high risk space, if the need should arise. A competence assessment can be undertaken which would result in City and Guilds Certification.
Content
The syllabus consists of 8 modules:
- Module 1 - Entering and working safely within high risk Enclosed Spaces whilst wearing breathing apparatus
- Module 2 - Risk assessments
- Module 3 - Action plans
- Module 4 - Permits to work
- Module 5 - Monitoring/entry equipment
- Module 6 - EEBD's & PPE
- Module 7 - Dealing with an emergency situation
- Module 8 - Using specialist detection and resuscitation equipment
Objectives
Throughout the duration of the course a Dynamic Risk Assessment will be carried out to ensure the safety of enclosed space operatives.
Admission Requirements
A self certification medical certificate will be required to be signed before course commencement. Also delegates must be certified Medically fit as Breathing Apparatus wearers.
