CREW RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Purpose
This course is intended to offer the participants:
- An introduction to A.P.Moller-Maersk and their Safety Culture and requirements
- An understanding of why everybody is responsible for a safe working environment
- An understanding of how they can work towards creating a safe working environment
- An understanding of Personal Safety in the Galley
- An understanding of Food Safety
- An understanding of the company’s ‘Zero Accident Initiative’

- Safety Awareness, Risk Management and Hazards in the workplace
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Manual Handling
- Personal Safety in the Galley
- Food safety and personal hygiene
- Alarm and emergencies onboard
- An understanding of ‘Food Safety’
Objectives
The program is designed to facilitate the induction of galley crew onboard Maersk Vessels. The intention is to ensure that the newly recruited personnel in no way compromise their own personal safety and that of the others and further ensure their active involvement within the safety group onboard.
This initiative therefore is part of the effort in ‘Moving Safety Forward’ and achieving the goal of an ‘accident free workplace’.
Admission Requirements
This course is designed for all those personnel newly recruited as Galley crew on board Maersk vessels.
Duration
3 days of Lecture/Discussion combined. All the above contents will include some practical exercises.
