Purpose

This gives the participant an introduction to the international maritime security situation. The end result will be that the participant will have received relevant background information from the company, on implementation of the International Ship & Port facility Security (ISPS) code in order to fulfil his task onboard.

The course is built around the requirements for the International Ship & Port facility Security code.

Objective

To have knowledge of:

• Why the ISPS code was introduced.
• The threat to the maritime industry
• The overall structure of the ISPS code
• Company Security Officer function
• Port Facility Security Officer function
• Ship Security Assessment and Ship Security Plan
• The role of a Ship Security Officer

 

Admission Requirements

Open to all with a security interest in the maritime sector.

The course will be conducted in English or Danish depending on the customer's request.

 

VENUE

The course can be conducted at either Maersk Training Svendborg or at the customer’s venue.
