Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator - LPG
Purpose
The objective of this course is to introduce the participants to LPG cargo handling. This includes the cargo containment system, associated cargo machinery and ballast equipment. The course should also give the participants specific knowledge of their duties and responsibilities. Standard cargo handling procedures are used, but more specific procedures can be incorporated, e.g. from loading/discharge ports.

Objective
To have gained knowledge about:
- LPG cargo operations
To understand:
- The operation of the reliquefaction plant
- The line-up and preparations prior to cargo operations
- The quantity calculations of LPG cargo
Be able to:
- Prepare the vessel for cargo operations
- Carry out cargo operations
Admission Requirements
For deck officers, both senior and junior, and cargo/gas engineers, but other ranks and positions can attend should the need arise. It is recommended that participants already have an STCW V/1 course.
