Purpose

LCHS is an operational course, focusing on how to deal with a specific type of cargo. However the theoretical physics and the safety aspects of the operations will be covered to the extent necessary, according to industry and company standards.

To be able to carry out:

Inerting of cargo tanks and pipelines
Loading of cargoes, two grades
Discharging of cargoes
Debottoming
Crude oil washing
Heavy weather ballasting
Water wash, decanting and disposal of slops
Gas freeing and safe entry

Admission Requirements

The target group for the course is deck officers. It is a basic course, however we expect the participants to be in possession of the required STCW certificates.
