Objectives

To have gained knowledge about:

• APMM’s environmental commitment, the requirements of the ECP (Environmental compliance Programme) and the procedures for complying with the ECP and applicable environmental laws
• Pollution prevention and minimization programs – Objectives/Targets
• Prohibitions on pipeline arrangements, especially on bypass methods of the OWS
• Garbage handling & disposal training acc. to MARPOL Annex V

 To be able to:

• Train the crew in the crew in operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment/systems related to pollution prevention
• Prepare, plan, execute and complete an ECP Initial Review and Compliance Audit
• Operate the 15 ppm Oily Water Separator Equipment
• Record the operations mentioned in the MARPOL Convention Annex

 

Admission Requirements

The course is intended for Chief & 2^nd engineers and equivalent dual officers who have not attended the MARPOL Annex I shore based course. It is a mandatory that the participants have completed the CBT (Computer Based Training) ECP e-Course before attending this course.
