Purpose
The course is intended for all new officers in the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group or cadets starting in a new position after completion of their education.
Content
The contents of the course are as follows:
- A.P. Moller – Maersk history and background
- The Organisation, globally and locally
- Company systems, e.g. QES
- Education and career opportunities
- The A.P. Moller – Maersk organisation
Objectives
The aim is to:
- Give new officers commencing their career in the Group, an instant feeling of belonging to “the family” and become acquainted with the many different activities existing within the whole Group
- Give new officers general knowledge about the Group’s history and to make sure that they understand the Group’s organisational structure and are acquainted with Company procedures, guidelines and systems

As this course is only of one day’s duration, it would be beneficial to combine with other courses given to fairly new employees, such as:
