Purpose
Human factors account for approximately 80% of accidents. This course's principal aim is to reduce the risk of accidents at sea with focus on casualty prevention and human error.Content

- Case studies and simulator exercises as a learning tool to backup/illustrate the theory
- Bridge team management, as recommended in STCW 95, Section B - VIII / 2
Observations and feedback given by participants' own colleagues are processed.
Objectives
The objective is:
- To reduce the risk of accidents in the fleet, focusing on casualty prevention
- Through case studies and theory, make the officers aware of the human factors
- To train the officers in cooperation and the coordination of tasks and in the deployment of resources in stressed and aggravated situations
- To create awareness about the different areas of responsibility and working situations with regard to deck and engine
- To illustrate the possibilities in dual concept
- To use the simulators to train and observe and ensure that the officers keep a high standard of competence within the CRM principles
There will be no written evaluation to the Company or the participants.

The course will be conducted in English, however if all participants speak Danish, this will be the spoken language.Venue
